Like you, I come from the past. At least the frames on my wall appear to agree. In that sense, photography for me is a recording of human intervention in nature - romantic, albeit inadmissible proof that the universe is being observed across time. A graceful dancer against a rough cityscape or a couple on a stroll by the beach - these moments from the past can create ripples in strangers' lives in the future. Photography also appeals to me as a process. The science, technological innovation, and artistic skills involved in capturing and manipulating light and color connect the passions of my heart to those of my brain.
